Acton Ostry Architects is seeking intermediate level Intern Architects, Architects or Architectural Technologists with experience in mid- to large-scale institutional or high-rise multifamily/mixed-use projects to join our practice.

We apply a rigorous and collaborative design approach to all our diverse educational, community, residential and worship projects. We have a keen interest in mass timber and Passive House.
Our 35+ member team works in a bright, spacious, open-concept studio in the heart of vibrant, eclectic Mount Pleasant.
Acton Ostry Architects is growing and as part of our expansion initiative, we are transitioning from a Mac platform primarily using Vectorworks and SketchUp to a PC environment utilizing Revit for production of construction documents.
What We’re Looking For
We seek self-directed individuals with good time management and problem-solving skills who are interested in contributing to our ongoing pursuit of architectural excellence. Intermediate level Intern Architects, Architects or Architectural Technologists should possess the following specific attributes and qualifications:
a degree or diploma in Architecture or Architectural/Building Technology from an accredited post-secondary institution
registered or eligible to be registered with the AIBC
5 or more years of applicable experience with mid- to large-scale institutional or high-rise multifamily/ mixed-use projects
technical proficiency and a thorough understanding of design and construction document production, with a demonstrated ability to produce documents to support the architectural expression of projects
high quality standards and proven ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
strong presentation, communication, and organizational skills
proficiency in Revit and working experience with BIM Collaborate Pro
consultant coordination experience
building code knowledge and experience
specification knowledge and experience
Salary, Benefits and Perks
The starting salary will be $80,000 or more, adjusted to reflect the experience and ability of the applicant.
